Some say she’s the secret bastard daughter of Grace Jones and Jimmy Page, some say she’s the 6’4’ creation of a some aggressive alien Star Trek race determined to grind the world into a vacuous pulp, but really the softly spoken skin (5’8’) solo star and lead singer of 90’s rock phenomenon Skunk Anansie, is more likely to be found pottering amongst her home ground tomatoes than plotting human extermination.
Born into a household of skinny boys and reggae music right in the heart of Brixton, she learnt her trade early on in the house of her grandfather who ran one of London’s most famous underground shebeens where the black gods such as Bob Marley and Mohammed Ali would pop in for a sip of Jamaican rum and a wink from the brown skin beauties at the bar.
Her first dally into music and as a dj was at college studying interior design (she later when on gain B.A. & M.A(hons) in interior design) where she was the resident dj for student parties. She immersed herself in music saving up all her pennies to buy music, indie/rock was her main influence but her Jamaican heritage saw her loving everything from the isley brothers to led zeppelin to sly’ stones mistress Bette Davis but that was all quickly side-stepped with the later formation of Skunk Anansie in which she was the lead singer and chief songwriter.
Over 4 million records sales later the band sadly parted ways but not without rekindling her DJ desires which quickly began to re-surface during her now infamous house parties in her Maida vale home for the willing VIP’s and Dj’s in town.
Since then her blossoming Dj career has seen her as a regular at bungalow8 in London, with killa gigs in Club Q Switzerland, Peter Pan Italy already under her belt.
With many more gigs to come including MTV Rome, Loprofile in london, Manumission Ibiza, it looks like her fresh approach to music mixing up her stylised eclectic tunes from indie-rock to dark disco to electro-pop will be in demand for this one of a kind queen of rock, for quite some time to come.

Currently she is one part of brand new Dark electronic band Format3 with martin Buttrich and timo mass, whose stunning album of evil songs will be released February 2009.
