Big World must be considered as one of the most improved player on the international Housemusic circuit. He sold some six digit numbers in original releases within the last ten years; a lot of these tracks entered the charts in countries all over the world. He looks back on releases on labels, such as Subliminal, Superstar, Joia, Defected, Nervous, WePlay,, Ultra, Ministry Of Sound, Universal, Sony and many, many more.
2007 and 2008 have been big for Big World, the talented producer/ dj from Berlin. Together with his partner in crime Denis The Mence, he produced dance chart topping tracks as "Going back to my roots" (Subliminal) "Fired Up" (Nero), "Show me a reason" (Vibrate!) and was played by all the key players around the globe.
"For me, to be in the studio, working on new tracks and remixes ist still the best. When you're in the process of doing something new and suddenly you feel that this piece of music starts to become alive, that's a great fullfilling moment. When having the idea of trying to do something with this old bonzai trance classic "The First Rebirth", i asked myself, how can we transfer this this compostion to new skool? And when we had it done, we send it to Axwell, who was on fire right about about this track and signed it to Axtone, so we knew, we had the right approach and created someting special."You know, i have been a quite successfull pop producer, collecting some platin and gold awards, before turning myself in to clubmusic. so i know, how to work with vocals and i still love to work with singers, but for me it's not about beeing cross over. if it happens fine, then radio jocks will pick it up and that's cool, like with "Show me a reason", which hit russias' Europe Plus Radio Chart at #2, sourrounded by all the R'n B hits. But most important, it has to work on from my dj booth."
" I have been on stage for more way more tha a decade, not only as a dj , but i started as a drummer, playing in bands. But no matter, what you do on stage or what your instrument is,
the interaction with the crowd is the most important thing when playing live. It's a give and take thing and when the energy starts to flow and the audience becomes one with the playing artist, then you know, why you are doing this. Which means you have to be able to improvise all the time to get there. Also you have to give the audience some time to get used to you and your set. Otherwise you end up banging hits with no difference between you and some other dj- doing the same"
Big Worlds touring and playing have taken him now around the globe, performing his sets.
" When you play, you have to feel the audience. That has an impact of my sets, so there is stuff i play no matter what, but other tracks i might leave in the box, since this gig calls for other material. However, people are coming to listen and see Big World, so that's what they get: My own productions and edits, which make my sets unique.
In 2009, Bigworld has releases and remixes out on labels as Axtone, Sony, WePlay, Tiger, PunX, Milk & Sugar. Watch out for Bigworld tracks hitting the dancefloor near you!
